My name is Ashley Draughn, and I am a Junior Speech Communication Major with an emphasis in Public Relations. I am twenty-two years old, and I have lived in Georgia my entire life. I have a very supportive family, who have always encouraged me to work hard towards my goals. My favorite things in the entire world are my poodle Ellie and traveling. I am also a huge foodie, and a Netflix addict. I am reaching the end of my first semester in the Speech Communication program, and I have taken Electronic Public Relations, Introduction to Communication Theory, Interpersonal Communication, Introduction to Public Relations, and Small Group Communication so far! I haven’t completed many projects yet, but this blog page will be the biggest project I have done this semester once it is completed. I also have not done a lot of research yet, but that will surely change once I begin my Qualitative and Quantitative research classes in the Spring. I chose Public Relations as my emphasis, because I feel it best suits my goal of becoming a Wish Coordinator for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. I’m looking forward to the future, and I am excited about the approaching new year!
